Introduction
In responding to government policies of industries upgrading and developing autonomous technologies, the department and graduate school were established to incubate professionals in the mechanical engineering fields. The department faculty is well-known for the outstanding performance in teaching and research. The course programs offer both fundamental and advanced training in the academic research and technological application. The experimental ability, innovative thinking, and crosslink with industries are emphasized in the design of professional courses, and the students graduated from the department display good performance no matter in advanced learning or in related industries. Besides, the Department and Graduate School have actively engaged in the cooperation and exchange with foreign universities; such as Cranfield University in UK, to enhance the academic levels and global visions of both the faculty and students.
